General - The British Columbia Aviation Museum is a major attraction on Vancouver Island.  It is located next to Victoria International Airport, on the south-east corner of the airport lands (see directions).  In our Museum, there are many interesting aircraft, engines, pictures, models and artefacts.

We have civilian and commercial aircraft, as well as military aircraft, all of which made contributions to British Columbia's aviation history.

Be sure to visit our Memorial Room, where you will find many artefacts from the wars in which Canadians fought as members of the Royal Flying Corps, Royal Air Force, or Royal Canadian Air Force.  The Memorial Room also includes an historical display of RCAF Station Patricia Bay, as it was during its time as a Commonwealth Air Training Plan Centre, complete with models of all the aircraft that were stationed there during those years.

If you are visiting from out of town you may want to research accommodation using HotelsCombined and TripAdvisor.

History Tourism

There are many historic places of interest in the Greater Victoria area, which makes this an ideal vacation destination. Along with other local museum organizations, the British Columbia Aviation Museum works with local agencies to present British Columbia’s rich transportation history.

An Educational Resource

The BC Aviation Museum encourages schools and other community youth organizations to include our Museum as a resource to support their curriculum or program development.

Whether you are a teacher of pre-school, K to 12 or post-secondary, the BC Aviation Museum will be pleased to help you organize a group tour of our facility.  We can also help plan visits for other youth organizations such as:

  • Scouts Canada (Engineering badge, Heritage badge);
  • Canadian Girl Guides (Aeronautics badge);
  • Air, Sea and Army Cadets’ Training Camp programs;
  • Municipal/Community recreation programs.

Please call the BC Aviation Museum at 250-655-3300 to book your visit.
